This year's childrens Christmas lecture will be delivered by Professor Anne McArdle, professor of musculoskeletal ageing at the University of Liverpool.
About the lecture
Professor McArdle will explore:
- the muscle loss of astronauts in spaceflight
- how the MicroAge Mission on the International Space Station demonstrates the impact of microgravity on muscle ageing
- a new approach to testing treatments for the benefit of those on Earth.
This event is aimed at children between the ages of 12 and 18. Schools and learning centres are encouraged to share this event with any children who have an interest in medicine and science.
