The Trainees Committee of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is inviting submissions for the Teale essay prize for trainees.
The prize winner will receive a money prize of £200 and the winning entry may be published by the Royal College of Physicians of London.
How to enter
To enter, please write an essay of 500 –1,500 words in connection with the following:
The cost of living crisis: what is the role of the physician?
Rules
- Entrants should be trainees in one of the 30 specialties of the RCP as outlined by the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (not necessarily MRCP) at the time of writing
- The essay must not have been previously published
- Manuscripts exceeding 1,500 words will not be considered.

To apply, please complete the application form and submit with a copy of your CV and a list of academic publications in PDF format to fundingandawards@rcp.ac.uk by 11:59pm, Friday 31 March 2023.
