RCP launch recruitment campaign for new associate global directors

RCP Global vice president Dr Mumtaz Patel and her team are seeking applications from RCP fellows to join the team as associate global directors.

Associate global directors (AGDs) play a pivotal role in supporting the Global team to deliver the objectives set out in the Global strategy. AGDs are fellows of the RCP and are appointed on an honorary basis for a fixed 4-year period to guide RCP activity across their dedicated region/ area of responsibility.

Fellows with experience in delivering partnership activities on an international scale are encouraged to apply, and the team is seeking to appoint three individuals to the following AGD roles:

  • associate global director – the Americas
  • associate global director – Europe
  • associate global director – International Medical Graduates (IMGs).

The successful regional AGD candidates will guide Global activity within their specific region, be supported by international advisers, build links with local physicians and institutions, participate in clinical training projects and act as RCP ambassadors. Applicants must have experience in developing partnerships and implementing projects in their chosen region.

For the AGD IMG role, the appointed candidate will support IMGs – (learn more about the MTI scheme). The candidate must be working in the NHS and have experience in supporting or facilitating the placement of IMGs.

Please note that all AGD roles are honorary positions with a fixed, maximum 4-year term. Supported handovers and induction will be provided for successful candidates.
