Harveian Oration and dinner 2026
RCP fellows are invited to book tickets to the Harveian Oration and dinner, one of the oldest and most significant events in the RCP calendar.
The Harveian Oration was established in 1656 by William Harvey (1578–1657). Each year, the RCP continues the tradition by inviting a leading doctor or scientist to speak on issues relating to their field of work.
We are delighted to announce that this year, Professor Bee Wee CBE MAEd PhD FRCP FRCGP SFFMLM HonDSc, will deliver the Oration titled ‘Palliative medicine: coming of age’.
Tickets are £110 per person and include a five-course dinner with wine pairing.
Following the Harveian Oration, the evening events will commence with a drinks reception followed by an exquisite five-course seated dinner, with wines carefully selected by our sommelier to accompany each course.
The evening will feature speeches from RCP president Professor Mumtaz Patel, as well as traditional college dinner customs, concluding with coffee and petit fours.
Bookings will close on Friday 9 October 2026.
