Responding to the 2022 monkeypox outbreak

The 2022 monkeypox outbreak has raised new, urgent questions. On 30 May, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) – which is leading the UK’s response – convened a webinar with the Royal College of Physicians for members and clinicians.

The webinar explored the latest understanding of the virus, its spread and current best practice clinical response. This is available for RCP members and clinicians to watch on RCP Player.

As a leading health organisation aimed at improving patient care and preventing disease worldwide, the RCP is committed to supporting the response to monkeypox. Members can find the latest guidance and information on the RCP’s dedicated monkeypox page.

We will continue to review the situation and provide support and guidance to members as necessary. If you have any questions, please email policy@rcp.ac.uk.
