This teaching toolkit is a ready-to-use education resource which equips facilitators with everything needed to deliver an engaging, interactive and evidence-based session on the topic, even if they have no prior experience.
This teaching toolkit has been developed by the RCP’s clinical sustainability fellow. Financial support for the RCP sustainability clinical fellowship was provided as an Independent Medical Education Grant from Pfizer Limited. Pfizer Limited had no involvement in candidate selection, and no influence on the work of the clinical fellowship.
Easy-to-follow slides are accompanied by detailed teaching notes with background information and guidance on delivery, permitting both the facilitator and participant to build their knowledge.
Developed by the RCP’s sustainability fellow, Dr Bryony Alderman, the content is designed to help clinicians understand which factors contribute to air pollution both indoors and outdoors, the impact of poor air quality on health across organ systems and throughout the life course, and actions that can be taken by physicians to protect the health of their patients and reduce risk for the most vulnerable.
