Imposter syndrome
This workshop is being delivered as part of the Update in Medicine – London 2026 programme.
You can register to attend the conference here: https://www.rcp.ac.uk/events-and-education/events/update-in-medicine-london-2026/
In this one-hour workshop session, we will examine imposter syndrome through an evidence-based lens; challenging the idea that it stems from individual deficit.
This session highlights how systemic barriers and societal expectations may shape imposter feelings, particularly in medicine and leadership. Delegates will gain a clearer understanding of the research and practical ways to support themselves and others within these structures.
This workshop is suitable for doctors of all grades.
