Can I watch on demand?

These forums offer an open environment for discussion and are not readily available to watch on demand. However a selection of talks we are given permission to record by speakers may be available to watch via RCP Launchpad - our exclusive member-only resource platform.

Please note, the content is only externally CPD validated when joining live and we encourage you to join us on the day to make the most of the meeting.

Mr Steve Andrews

Steve Andrews is a former senior nurse for children and young peoples' cancer. Since retraining with an MSC in organisational behaviour 10 years ago, he now supports leadership development.

Dr Sarah Bowater FRCP

Dr Sarah Bowater is a consultant cardiologist in Birmingham and has been the Cardiology TPD in the West Midlands for the past 8 years. She has developed an interest in sexual safety within the healthcare setting and has become a leader in this locally and regionally.
Sarah believes that education around this area is key to reducing the prevalence and has supported a number of departments where concerns have been raised. 

Dr Milind Arolker FRCP

Dr Milind Arolker is a substantive consultant for the supportive and palliative care team at Heartlands Hospital. Since 2017, he has developed and led on fully-immersive simulation-based education at University Hospitals Birmingham, including video-based methods such as those you will see today. During the pandemic, he was appointed as training programme director for palliative medicine training in the West Midlands, overseeing the specialty’s transition into group 1 dual training with general internal medicine. Following positive feedback from GIM trainees, he is delighted today to be able to showcase today at the new consultant forum, how it’s possible to deliver communication skills virtually and at scale.
