SAS forum: Developing your SAS career
This forum is being hosted as part of SAS week 2026.
The session will start at 2pm and end at approximately 4.15pm.
Join us for a focused meeting showcasing SAS careers in action - SAS as leaders, educators and researchers. You’ll also hear about the journey from specialty doctor to specialist with tips on advocating for yourself and navigating these key conversations. The session will end with a panel Q&A and open discussion which aims to explore your experiences as SAS doctors and help identify what recognition looks like to you.
These digital forums are designed to foster an open and collaborative environment to connect with peers across the UK and to share your experiences.
The programme is still in development and may be subject to change. Attendees can gain up to 2 non-clinical CPD for this session.

These meetings are designed to support SAS doctors and offer a platform for discussion. If you have an idea for a future forum, a topic you’d like to discuss or a speaker you’d like to recommend please get in touch.
This event is designed to offer specialty, associate specialist and specialist physicians the opportunity to discover areas of SAS career development and to offer a platform for informal discussion and peer support. Those working closely with, or supporting, SAS doctors are also encouraged and welcome to attend.

How to join the meeting:
This virtual forum will take place via Microsoft Teams. Discussion will begin at 2.00pm and end at approximately 4.15pm
You will require access to Microsoft Teams and a reliable internet connection. We recommend downloading the app for full functionality.
Once you have registered for this event, you will receive the joining instructions and a link to the Microsoft Teams call where this forum will take place. You will also receive a digital calendar invitation.
Can I watch on demand?
These forums offer an open environment for discussion and are not readily available to watch on demand. However a selection of talks we are given permission to record by speakers may be available to watch via RCP Launchpad - our exclusive member-only resource platform.
Please note, the content is only externally CPD validated when joining live and we encourage you to join us on the day to make the most of the meeting.
