The Milner York (events centre) is next door to York Station which serves many destinations around the country, including Newcastle, Edinburgh, Manchester and trains to London King’s Cross in less than 2 hours.
By Car
The Milner York (events centre) is a 20-minute drive from the A1: simply type in the post code YO24 1AA to your SatNav. There is a car park for guests’ use, charged at £19.00 for 24 hours which is managed by an external company.

Travel and parking advice – York
Important: information about your journey to York
Where possible, we strongly advise using public transport. York train station is a 2-minute walk away from The Milner Hotel. The train station is also a primary hub for local buses and has cycle parking facilities.
For delegates who need to travel by car, we have been advised that traffic restrictions are currently in place across York city centre, which may impact your journey. Parking at the venue can be limited so you may wish to consider alternative parking. The closest car park is York Station South NCP (YO24 1AD).
To avoid congestion and parking challenges, we recommend using the York Park & Ride service. It’s a convenient and cost-effective option, with routes serving all areas around York.
Dr Clare Donnellan trained at St. Bartholomew's medical school and completed registrar training in Yorkshire. Since 2007 she has led the intestinal failure service in Leeds with (currently) 230 patients on home parenteral support - the third largest centre after St. Mark's and Salford. She also has a wealth of experience of enteral feeding and all other aspects of nutrition.
Dr Rosalyn Jewell started her medical training as a paediatrician, but was quickly drawn to the clinical variety and complexity of clinical genetics. Following a research fellowship in melanoma tumour genetics, she joined the Leeds clinical genomics service as a speciality registrar and was appointed as a substantive consultant in 2017. Ros has led the cancer genomics and neurofibromatosis type 1 service for some years, but also continues to have a clinical interest in paediatric and rare disease genetics. She has recently been appointed as lead clinician for the Leeds service and is involved in local, regional and national service development.

Dr Nigel Stout graduated from Newcastle in 1992. He studied for a PhD under Professor Rose Anne Kenny and has been a consultant for 25 years, specialising in falls, dizziness and syncope.
Dr Stout works at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Trust, in his clinics he sees patients of all ages and runs a weekly tilt table clinic, although he would describe himself as a “ tilt sceptic”.
Dr Fahmid Chowdhury is a dual-certificated consultant in radiology and nuclear medicine at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals since 2008. He has previously served as clinical lead of the nuclear medicine and PET-CT service from 2012-2018 and clinical director of radiology from 2018-2022. In addition to having a high-volume clinical practice in nuclear medicine, Dr Chowdhury is actively engaged in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and has delivered over 75 invited lectures at national meetings. Dr Chowdhury was appointed honorary clinical associate professor at the University of Leeds in 2017 in recognition of his research work.
