Background
This award was established in honour of the late Nancy Crawshaw to provide money for the promotion of medical research within Wales. Monies from the trust fund can be provided for travelling bursaries, with an emphasis on training for research, linked with Wales, or for research into any aspect of physical disease prevalent, but not necessarily exclusive, to Wales.
Applications are open to resident doctors up to and including ST6, or at least one year pre-CCT at the commencement of the fellowship. Applicants must be subscribing members of the RCP prior at the start of the fellowship. They must also be hosted by a Welsh institution but the funding allows for collaboration with non-Welsh institutions.
Up to £40,000 is available per year, to be paid over a maximum of two years.
Please note, that as part of the terms and conditions of the award, the successful applicant will be required to provide a report within three months of completing their fellowship.
