Alcohol and tobacco data standards consultation

Recording alcohol and tobacco use in health records is essential for identifying patients at high risk of future harm and for providing effective interventions.

The views of patients, carers, healthcare professionals, researchers and clinical information system suppliers are currently being sought through two online surveys to inform the development of the proposed data standards to ensure that they are appropriate, acceptable and implementable across the NHS.

How to take part

You can complete the surveys via the links below:

The closing date for both surveys is 17 February 2017.

If you have any questions about the consultation or the project please contact Dr Shamil Haroon (s.haroon@bham.ac.uk) or the Health Informatics Unit.
