RCP vice president for Wales, Dr Alan Rees, calls for nominations to be made for the new regional adviser for North Wales by all RCP fellows based in Wales.
The lead RCP regional adviser within Wales is supported by two other regional advisers. Each regional adviser comes from a different part of Wales so that the whole country is represented: North Wales, South East Wales and South West Wales. The succession to the lead role rotates among the regional advisers every 2 years.
The individual elected must work in a hospital in North Wales. However, the ballot will involve all fellows in Wales, as each regional adviser will in time act as lead regional adviser within Wales.
To nominate a colleague to become RCP regional adviser for North Wales, please send a completed nomination form to the RCP Wales office or by email to clare.rudall@rcplondon.ac.uk. The closing date for receipt of nominations is 26 April 2016 at 5pm.
Access the nomination form. Please note that:
- the nominee must be a fellow of the RCP
- the nominee must work in an RCP medical specialty
- the nominee must be in active practice working in one of the hospitals in North Wales
- each nomination must be proposed by two fellows who are in active practice
- each nomination must have the agreement of the nominee.
The RCP vice president would like to take this opportunity to thank Professor John Harvey for all of his hard work over the past 6 years.
