Evidence submitted by 14 organisations - including the Royal College of Physicians - has been published online as part of the UK review on implementation of the EU Working Time Directive which was launched by Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt in October 2013.
The final report is expected shortly and will contain recommendations for government policy on the implementation of the Directive as well as solutions for mitigating the impact of the Directive.
