In tribute: Remembering RCP members and fellows who died from COVID-19

The RCP has produced a special digital publication to commemorate members and fellows who died from COVID-19, which includes obituaries written by family members, friends and colleagues.

This document was originally published in December 2020, and has now been updated to include obituaries for all RCP members and fellows who died of COVID-19 in 2020. If you are aware of anyone who has not been included, please contact commentary@rcplondon.ac.uk

The RCP also continues to commission and publish obituaries for all fellows, which can be found in the Inspiring Physicians collection.

Permanent memorial

The RCP will also be creating a permanent memorial to all members and fellows who have died from COVID-19, in the grounds of its Regent’s Park home. Other memorials will be created around the world for doctors and other emergency care workers, but this one will be dedicated to those who were members of the RCP family. It will be unveiled in 2021.

RCP Museum

The RCP Museum is looking for objects to commemorate the contribution of physicians during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year many physicians have been at the forefront of protecting society; please help the RCP to document your experiences by considering donating items or stories to the Museum. In doing so, you will be adding to the 500-year history of physicians held by the Museum, preserving these records for future generations and enabling the RCP to commemorate the efforts made by physicians during the pandemic.

To donate items that represent your experiences, or those of your medical colleagues, please contact history@rcplondon.ac.uk
