Federation is pleased to confirm that MRCP(UK) clinical and written examinations will recommence this Autumn.
The Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK [the Federation] recognises that the last few months have been an immensely challenging time for all physicians and trainees as they have navigated their way through the COVID-19 pandemic with colleagues from across the health and social care sectors. The Federation would like to assure all candidates, trainees and consultants that it has been focussed on the safe and effective recovery and restart of all Federation services.
The Federation is pleased to confirm that tMRCP(UK) clinical and written examinations will recommence this Autumn, both in the UK and internationally, dependent on the impact of COVID-19 in each country and in accordance with their latest policies on travel, social distancing and infection control.
The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and the Royal College of Physicians of London are firmly committed to the Federation partnership and to ensuring the future success of the training, examinations and professional development that it has delivered to physicians for many years.
Colleagues might be aware of the recent resignation of Professor Andrew Elder as the President of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh due to a perceived conflict of interest in relation to Professor Elder’s previous role at MRCP(UK).
All matters relating to governance are addressed through The Federation Board and the three Colleges are working together to resolve a specific issue.
