Physicians for Africa medical education training begins in Kampala

Taking place on 1-3 October, the ‘Train the trainers’ course marks a major milestone for Physicians for Africa – a partnership between the RCP and the East, Central and Southern Africa College of Physicians (ECSACoP) – with 20 senior physicians from across the region coming together to participate in a series of workshops that will prepare them for delivering ECSACoP’s recently completed postgraduate training curriculum at training units in Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Dr Goddard and RCP CEO Ian Bullock will be leading a number of sessions, including ‘Adult learning theory’ and ‘Mentorship, apprenticeship and relationships’. The training will also coincide with ECSACoP’s second Annual Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting (27-29 September), where a new cadre of fellows will be admitted to the college.
