Commenting on the National Audit Office report Progress in Improving Stroke Care, Dr Tony Rudd, RCP Associate Director and Chair of the Intercollegiate Stroke Network said:
I am delighted that all the work that has been done to improve in stroke care in England has been recognised by the NAO. As they point out, appropriately, there is a lot of work that still needs to be done to ensure that all patients receive high quality care, particularly in the community and care homes. Perhaps most important is the demonstration that the extra investment made, is providing value for money in terms of improved outcome for patients.
