The RCP is celebrating reaching the milestone of 40,000 members, strengthening its mandate and boosting its ability to influence and improve care for patients.
Andrew Goddard, RCP president, said: “We’re delighted to have reached the milestone of 40,000 members, demonstrating the RCP remains as relevant today as it did centuries ago. We’re pleased to support growing numbers of physicians and physician associates as their careers develop and to contribute more and more to improving health and healthcare.
“I am proud to be part of this growing, vibrant community and proud too of how we have come together during some of the most challenging times any of us will ever face in our careers. The RCP, like every individual and every organisation, has had to adapt quickly in response to the pandemic, moving swiftly to provide information, resources and opportunities to connect with each other online in new and innovative ways.
“We will continue to develop in the future just as we have over the last year and the last 500 years. A milestone is something you pass as you continue on your way and I look forward to welcoming many more members and fellows to join us on our journey.”
