Today the SEQOHS accreditation scheme is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Robert Hardman as the new SEQOHS chair. The scheme is managed by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP), on behalf of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
Dr Hardman is an experienced occupational medicine consultant. He is also the deputy lead of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) Quality Improvement Working Group that drives quality improvement (QI) initiatives. Dr Hardman has also worked in the NHS, the army and the private sector.
On the appointment to SEQOHS chair Dr Robert Hardman said:
I am delighted to accept the role of SEQOHS chair. The SEQOHS accreditation scheme has become the definition of quality for occupational health delivery. I now aim to position SEQOHS as the industry standard for all UK occupational health services and providers.
Dr Hardman brings a wealth of experience and his vision and enthusiasm to his new role as chair will benefit all SEQOHS stakeholders, including occupational health services, the SEQOHS steering group and assessors.
The chair will have a strategic role in the SEQOHS accreditation scheme, providing leadership and direction. Dr Hardman will also chair the SEQOHS steering group.

Since its launch in 2010, the SEQOHS accreditation has become recognised as the industry standard for occupational health services, with over 190 accredited and many more undergoing the accreditation process. Accredited services encompass both NHS and private sectors and range from single handed practices to multinational companies.
