The RCP library launches a new improved Discovery service

RCP Discovery service (formerly known as the discovery search tool) has been redesigned to make searching through the library’s extensive online collections quicker and easier. The service is a single search portal to more than a million biomedical, health and pharmaceutical resources, which gives members the ability to easily access all of the RCP online subscriptions.

The RCP Discovery service can be used to find a wide range of content from the library, including:

  • Ejournals: including The BMJ, JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, NEJM and Wiley ejournals.
  • Ebooks: including the Oxford medical handbooks series and the Oxford Textbook of Medicine.
  • Databases: Medline and HMIC database via OVID.

Members will be able to browse and search through the RCP library's wide-ranging collections and subject areas, and will only be required to enter a username and password (with an OpenAthens account) when downloading full text.

The RCP Discovery service’s new user-friendly interface sorts content into clickable categories, meaning that whether it’s medical ebooks or the most current journal issue, members can easily search according to what they’re looking for. Hints and tips for using the service are also available on the site.

The RCP Discovery service can be accessed by clicking the RCP Discovery button on the top-right of this page.

If you have any questions about the new service, please contact the RCP library by emailing enquiries@rcplondon.ac.uk.
