In March 2015, a series of seven workshops for IBD services were held throughout England and Wales. The objectives of these workshops were to facilitate IBD teams to:
- reflect on their own service using their own audit data to identify areas for improvement
- network with colleagues to share expertise and examples of best practice
- leave the workshop with an action plan to implement and evaluate improvement in their IBD service.
Sessions included talks from commissioners / policy writers and a patient representative, local stories of service improvement achieved using the results of the IBD audit, presentation of regional audit results and expert facilitation to develop local action plans for each team present.
