The National Comparative Audit of Blood Transfusion is commissioned and managed by NHS Blood and Transplant. It seeks to engage all NHS and independent hospitals in the UK, occasionally including hospitals in the Republic of Ireland and New Zealand, to audit blood transfusion practice and drive improvements for the benefit of patients.
