Vacancies: Members of the Diploma in Global Health Question Writing Group

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is seeking to appoint a number of members to the Diploma in Global Health (DGH) Question Writing Group.

The Diploma in Global Health (DGH) is developed and delivered by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Assessment Unit on behalf of the RCP and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). It takes place annually and consists of a 200-question single best answer knowledge-based assessment (KBA), which is split across two papers, each 3 hours in duration and each containing 100 questions. The KBA is delivered online, enabling candidates to take their assessment at home or in the workplace.

Remit

The Question Writing Group (QWG) has the responsibility for generating new questions and reviewing current content for the DGH KBA. The group utilise the current DGH blueprint to ensure new and existing content is appropriate for use in future examinations.

The QWG’s work will include (but is not limited to):

  • Generating new content that is appropriate for the KBA, in line with the DGH blueprint and relevant style guide
  • Ensuring content flagged for review by the DGH examination board or DGH Question Paper Review Group remains clinically relevant, amending questions or scenarios as appropriate
  • Ensuring questions test knowledge in line with current clinical guidelines.

Any extensions will be at the discretion of the RCP Assessment Unit.

All successful applicants will be required to sign non-disclosure and code of conduct agreements.

(1). Decisions on the renewal of membership may be referred to the DGH Senior Examiner where appropriate.
