With nominations being accepted for the RCP Excellence in Patient Care Awards 2017, individuals and teams interested in entering are invited to watch interviews with the winners of the 2016 awards.
In the interviews, the 2016 winners explain what their projects set out to achieve and describe the positive impact their work has had on the lives of patients. The interviews can be watched on the winners' profile pages:
- Dr Alexander Wilkinson – Doctor in specialty training award
- Dr Anu Jacob – Consultant award
- Atrial fibrillation stroke prevention team, Royal Stoke Hospital – Team award
- Professor Morris Brown – The Lancet research award.
2017 awards
The mission of the RCP Excellence in Patient Care Awards is to recognise, celebrate and promote the impressive work that physicians do to improve patient-centred care through education, policy, clinical practice and research.
You can enter yourself or nominate a colleague for the 2017 awards. Entries will be accepted until 1 October 2016 and the shortlist will be announced in January 2017. The awards ceremony will take place at Medicine 2017, the RCP annual conference.
