NHFD Webinar - Improving hip fracture recovery

The National Hip Fracture Database (NHFD) is pleased to present our third quarterly webinar of 2025. Join us on Thursday 7 August, 5.30–7pm for a session focusing on improvement.
We’re delighted to welcome a guest speaker, Dr Judith Agwada-Akeru, consultant orthogeriatrician at Whipps Cross University Hospital, who will share insights from their local improvement project on enhanced recovery after neck of femur fracture surgery (ERAS). Bob Handley, GIRFT orthopaedic trauma surgery lead, will also be presenting on GIRFT and introducing Dr Judith Agwada-Akeru. 
Our orthogeriatrics clinical lead, Antony Johansen, and orthopaedic lead, Will Eardley, will also discuss improving performance in KPI 7 (bone protection medication), with a focus on non-operative management and weight bearing after surgery.
We’ll also hold Q&A sessions.
