Royal College of Physicians responds to National Audit Office report on healthcare for people living with frailty

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has responded to the National Audit Office’s (NAO’s) report Primary and community healthcare support for people living with frailty which looks at how the NHS identifies and supports people living with or at risk of frailty before they reach the point of medical crisis or hospital admission.

‘NHS must halve waiting lists to meet government 18-week target’, new study warns

A new study published in the Royal College of Physicians’ (RCP) Future Healthcare Journal (FHJ) shows that England’s elective waiting list must be cut by more than half – from the current 7.4 million to 3.4 million – to achieve the government’s target of 92% of patients waiting no longer than 18 weeks for treatment.
