Clinical lead appointed for new RCP liver accreditation service

Presidents sign letter of intent to establish joint venture to deliver exams, training and CPD
The presidents of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal College of Physicians of London have signed a letter of intent to establish a new joint venture, the Academy of Physicians Colleges UK, building on the existing relationship known as the Federation of Royal Colleges of the United Kingdom.

RCP discusses alcohol marketing regulation in Europe
The Royal College of Physicians’ (RCP's) representative on EU alcohol policies, Professor Nick Sheron, will today join Dr Vytenis Andriukaitis, the European commissioner for health, and Ireland’s minister for health promotion, Marcella Corcoran Kennedy TD, at a stakeholder meeting in Brussels to discuss how European countries can better protect children from alcohol marketing through effective regulation rather than industry self-regulation.
