The RCP’s Student and Foundation Doctor Network (SFDN) is open for recruitment! Details of our vacancies can be found below.
What is the SFDN?
Being part of the SFDN enables members to represent foundation doctors and medical students within the RCP and get actively involved in helping to shape policy, services and activities.
The network comprises medical student and foundation doctor representatives from across the UK, plus a network chair, who act as RCP ambassadors in their regions. The SFDN’s work is currently focused on three main themes:
- working lives
- career development
- local engagement and communications.
We'd love engaged, committed and passionate foundation doctors, and particularly medical students, to join us to work closely with the RCP and to be the voice of their peers across the country.
We are currently recruiting for SFDN vacancies in the following regions:
- London
- Midlands
- Northern
- Oxford and Thames Valley
- South West
- Yorkshire.
If you are interested in representing your region, please send the following to SFDNetwork@rcp.ac.uk by 5pm on Monday 27 October:
- completed application form
- short statement within the application form (200 words maximum) explaining why you would like to be a part of the SFDN and what relevant skills you can bring
- short CV (maximum two pages).
Successful candidates for 2025 recruitment will be contacted via email by 1 December 2025. The terms of reference for this role can be found in the downloads at the bottom of this page.
